I ordered the new RadWagon 5 electric cargo bike!
A few years ago I had the RadWagon 4 for ~1½ years but I ultimately sold it as I wasn’t satisfied with it. It was good but (for me) not great.
The new one seems like a massive upgrade and a great value, and it seems to have addressed all my dissatisfactions with the prior version:
* mechanical brakes → hydraulic brakes
* top speed 20 mph → 28 mph
* cadence sensor → torque sensor
* solid fork → suspension fork
* incompatible with frame locks → frame lock now available

Downgrades that I can see:
* weight sans battery: 69 lbs → 75.6 lbs 😬
* (the battery is heavier too but it’s a higher capacity so that’s OK)
* handlebars adjustable for height → fixed-height
They say it should arrive mid-April so hopefully I’ll be shuttling my kid around town this spring+summer via bike again!
