Coming soon to a website near you. “How My Apple Vision Pro Became My Primary Computer”. The harrowing tale of a dude who bought the latest Apple device and now just won't stop talking about it. From the minds that brought you “How My iPad Pro Became My Primary Computer" and “What's a Computer?”. Rated R for aRRRgh not again.
@paul yeah, I’m already tired of the coverage. Wake me in 10 years when this is either well and truly over or we have real AR glasses
@paul it would be a great primary computer … no one would know you are just watching movies on the moon all day 🤣
@paul I'll never be rich enough to buy it so I don't care.
To me it's just a load of well off white boys playing with a new toy and I'm so fucking sick of that.
@paul the exciting twist this time is that due to productivity hacking which he’s more than happy to explain in depth this bro can get all his work done in the 2 hours of battery life and take the rest of the day off to enjoy meal replacement drinks and negging
Sadly, it's the I that doesn't stand for what most people think. AI is actually Artificial Ignorance.
@paul @lisamelton I almost wish we could see something in the opposite vein, such as... “How my Apple // Became My Primary Computer”. I'd find *that* far more interesting, honestly.
@paul I am just awaiting @caseyliss's blog post... heh! And maybe @jsnell's - when he's traveling - especially since it's so much like an iPad in certain ways. We'll see.
@paul lol. I heard a voice on a podcast this morning saying it was the most privacy invasive device ever invented. <sigh>
@paul I think taking something like the Apple Vision Pro and down-teching it would be a great idea. I'd watch Ted Nugent use this thing to keep the bugs out of his eyes while at a political rally, then realizing it was actually electronic.
John Daly would make a good spokesman as well for the same reason: "These blueblockers really help me see the green better after 14 PBRs".
@paul I’m waiting for a cybertruck driver using fsd with the Vision Pro on getting a ticket or something.
Edit: Well it’s a Tesla, but ya. https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/2/24059909/its-been-10-hours
@paul I would really consider it for my next laptop purchase, but it looks very iPad-like in it's restrictions. I don't think you can run xcode on it, for example.
@paul I love VR but the people saying that no one in their right mind is going to spend the entire day with a brick strapped their head are 100% right?.
Maybe dystopian… maybe a harbinger of dark times, but this thing may change my relationship with technology. I might just welcome our robot overlords.
Jaw still firmly on ground… hours later.
@paul player one has just entered the game. https://mastodon.macstories.net/@viticci/111896882190817017
