Frances (one of the 17yos) set up a pinhole camera about 5 months ago in our backyard to capture a solargraph. This is the result. Each curving streak is the sun's path that day, from the high June sun on the right side of the screen to the low November sun on the left side. Sunnier days get a brighter, thinner stroke; cloudier days are fainter, broader. She was stoked at the outcome, as she didn't know how it would go. She ended up writing a really great college application essay on it.
@charliepark I love everything about this!
