@astraluma htmx addresses this well. Interestingly it’s community is thinking about how to get this addressed natively in browsers and the HTML spec.
@astraluma I seem to remember that those HTTP verbs came in with the WebDAV standard, which came after forms/CGI-bin. WebDAV kinda died on the vine, and no one paid attention to those verbs until the rise of APIs two decades later.
