Hoboken, NJ has gone seven consecutive years without a traffic fatality. They've also seen a significant reduction in injuries, with significant injuries down 62% between 2022 and 2023. This has been achieved largely by lowering speed limits and redesigning streets.

@TheWarOnCars Having just gotten my first electric car, I am having to unlearn a lot of bad habits. A few of those are accelerating too quickly from a stop, being in a hurry when there is no need (p.s. there is never a need), and driving just over the speed limit or more.
I wish there were better ways to really enforce traffic laws as so many violations go unchecked as no one is there to make the charge.
@TheWarOnCars Looks like they’ve taken that article offline? From what I can find it seems they limited the speed limit to 20mph and installed protected bike lanes, wow!
