Recycling of materials has always had a role in construction (underpinning architectural salvage shops/dealers around the country), but what if we widened such efforts so at dismantle all buildings at the end of their lives rather than just demolish them?
The re-use of generic (rather than specialist) material(s) is one key aspect of turning construction greener, requires no special equipment; just time & effort.

- A glass panel and aluminium frame (80%-90% of weight)
- A plastic sheet on the back, or another glass panel

Fairphone's Kuriakose gives some insight and illustrations how Fairphone not only picks some precious gold corns out of retired Fairphones sent back to them – but also reuses and repairs some of the components. Returning (after replacing) a defect FP3 display even seems to be incentivized now with a little discount.
