The 2024 IFDB Awards are open and I am delighted to discover that my game, Voyage of the Marigold, is in the Outstanding Science Fiction Game of 2024 category.
It probably won’t win but I worked very hard on a slightly unusual #interactivefiction game that I am glad a few people seemed to enjoy.

The 2024 IFDB Awards are now open for voting! I didn't write much #InteractiveFiction in 2024 aside from Moondrop Isle, but I do enjoy revisiting all the great games from the previous year.
My favorite part is waiting until the winners are announced and then playing all the nominees for Outstanding Underappreciated Game, because each one meant something to someone.

Overview:
You are playing as chronically ill person with slight shortsightedness, who has experienced mental health difficulties in the past. You are trying to find a way to connect with the outside world, while staying safe at the same time.
The game's protagonist, @CautiousCauliflower, is loosely based on the author of the game (me:)).
Content warning: The protagonist exhibits some patterns of thinking that might be a little bit too familiar to people with anxiety disorders or trauma.

Last week, I announced and released The Zen of Kayaking, a 1980s Infocom inspired text adventure game for DOS (or offline browser).
