A low sun is shining down into the tunnel for cyclists and pedestrians that runs under Hilversum railway station. The light casts a warm, orange glow on the brick wall and on the ground below. The setting sun also creates a strong, long shadows of the people as they go through the passage.

A misty morning film photo I took last autumn on a gravel path. The sun in the east is hidden by evergreens but glows in the direction of the camera. Some bare trees stretch in the mist. A brown border collie mix pup stand facing towards the sun and is nearly in silhouette. You can see she is wearing a harness. The colors are soft.

Nächtliche Szene mit kühlem Blaustich. Hinter einer interessant gebogenen Straßenlaterne mit gelbem Mast, die an einer gelben Bank befestigt ist, steht ein Mann. Er ist nur von hinten und in Umrissen zu sehen. Es schneit leicht, das kann man im Lichtkegel der Laterne sehen. Hinter der Laterne und dem Mann ist an einem dunklen Haus ein leuchtendes Schild zu sehen, darauf steht St. Agnes.

A juvenile pileated woodpecker standing in a little trench where a log has decayed to wood chips. A red tufted head and pointy bill are turned towards top right frame. It's a crow-sized mostly black bird except for a white strip below the eye and another down each shoulder. Brown eyes are alert and thoughtful.

Ich habe das Gefühl aufgrund der vielen Hiobsbotschaften aktuell irgendwie aktiv(er) sein zu müssen. Bin wütend. Aber gleichzeitig fühle ich mich hilflos, unbedeutend und auch müde und überfordert. Schaffe es oft nicht mal meinen eigenen Ansprüchen gerecht zu werden.
Daher gibt es hier meistens nur "schöne Fotos" von mir. Und hoffe so zumindest für manche einen kleinen positiven Augenblick zu schaffen.

Schwarz-Weiß-Foto, quadratisch. Zu sehen ist eine Hausecke, daran klebt ein kleines, schwarz-weiß-gestreiftes Männchen aus Styropor (Streetart by Styro). Es hält sich an der Ecke fest und schaut nach unten. Auf seinen Kopf hat sich ein Star gesetzt, der die Gegend beobachtet.

I came across this mercato during a stroll through part of Naples’ historic district Pendino.
I always love to see a living city up against layers of buildings from older periods.
Of the European cities I’ve visited Naples is probably the one with the liveliest street life 😃
