So my question is, what's an intuitive way to use dropping-in- #fortran from the #lisp #repl ?
Reading a .f file ~ into a let* form which I'm currently doing seems kind of bland. #f( this(1) = is(2) + a / fortran * line) seems kind of uninspiring (who would want to express themselves like this). Maybe Enter "fortran mode" and read lines of fortran from *standard-input* with normal interactive evaluation hacked in?

The fortran becomes #series expressions in lisp.

I know I wrote an #Introduction but I can't find it. I'll pin this one.

I'm retired after 38 years doing OS (VMS) and compiler (#Fortran, Ada, Pascal) software development for DEC/Compaq/Intel. Currently chair of the international Fortran standards committee.

I'm on my city's Zoning board, got elected to a low-level election-related position, and run several web sites. My wife and I currently have four cats from the shelter I run the web site for. See my web site for more background.

I suppose an #introduction update is in order, so here goes. The first computer I ever programmed for (and crashed) was a Convex C240 while spending weekday afternoons as a child mostly unsupervised in the cs department at a public university. I know enough #fortran to be dangerous, enough #python to survive, but make a living working on physical stuff (mostly #ASICs in the recent past but with a much bigger project on my hands right now).

I know enough #fortran to be dangerous, enough #python to survive, but make a living working on physical stuff (mostly #ASICs for now) with a degree in mechanical engineering.

So, I guess I finally should make the #introduction post -- no, really. Especially, today is the last day of my current vacation, so now or never.
