Look again: the seaweed is now a formal apology from the last man who unnecessarily tried to explain something to you.

Anything is possible when you smell like a vengeful sea witch and embrace your own rage. I'm on a narwhal.

Today in Labor History November 26, 1883: Abolitionist, women’s rights activist Sojourner Truth died on this date in Battle Creek, Michigan. She escaped slavery in 1826, with her infant daughter, and then sued her former master in 1828 to win the freedom of her son. She won the lawsuit, making her the first black woman to win such a case against a white man. She had grown up in New York, with Dutch as her first language. However, she became a powerful public speaker in English. In 1851, she gave her “Ain’t I a Woman” speech to the Ohio Women's Rights Convention. During the Civil War, she helped recruit black soldiers into the Union Army.

One of the best portrait I’ve seen. It’s by a painter you’ve likely never heard of - Mary Black

While her work is stunning, rivaling and even better than most of her male contemporaries, on one of the first (and only) portraits she’ve done, she was forced to charge 1/100th of her asking price, and was told she would be slandered as “a slut” if she refused.

The work of women being criminally undervalued while being slandered since the beginning of time.

I remember being asked in a job interview if I had my husband's permission to work. I remember needing to show a marriage license to get birth control. I don't want to go back.
