I'm Pascal and while I work as a programmer I enjoy my time being offline - playing guitar, bass, making music in general. In 2019 I finished a project which was engraved into my heart for years: I've built a guitar myself - a beautiful blue/green stained Telecaster

Il y a 15 jours, j'ai été grimper pour la deuxième fois sur le magnifique site de Pen-Hir en Bretagne.
C'est toujours aussi beau ! De l'escalade sur une ou plusieurs longueurs, le tout au-dessus de l'eau et avec le bruit de la mer juste en dessous de nous, en continu.
On a même vu des dauphins ! 🐬

I'm still suffering from the side effects of the clock change and my energy levels in the morning are not what they are last week, but I still went #climbing today and found a new fun project to work on.

I recently had my 1 year anniversary on dice.camp, so it’s a good time to update my #introduction! I’m also working on my own sandbox #fantasy TTRPG, #TheYearsOfAdventure, as one half of Archstone Press.

I tried twitter earlier this year and found it alienating and a waste of time. Maybe mastodon will work out better as a way of making human contact. I'm a retired community college #physics professor, now enjoying #climbing #trailrunning and #classics . I'm currently plowing my way through the #iliad , just started book 9. I love #opensource .

These days I'm an #EngineeringManager in the #DataEngineering world. I have a background in #dataops, #devops, and #SRE. I've also worked in #politicaltech / #politics for the past 7 years.
Outside of work, I do #circus for fun, and I've been picking up a bit of #climbing recently. I'm also a #lace #knitting nerd. And I have a pet #snake named Donut 🐍 🐍 🍩 🍩

I moved to the #PacificNorthwest from #Philadelphia to spend more time outside.
