Hello! I'm new here, so here's an #introduction .

I'm Sally. I live in Brisbane with @james , our daughter and our dog.

I work in #radio and love #performingarts , especially #circus .

#introduction -- i am an #artist (#graphics, #printing, #sculpture), #musician (#tuba, #trombone, #LowBrass, #flute, #electronics), #agarbathiwala (#incense-seller), and #BrainInjury #survivor. i have done #MusicalInstrumentRepair and #software #qa_testing. i ran away from home and joined a #circus (#unicycle, #high_wire) and i used to be a #juggler but after my injury, i was forced to switch from being #RightHanded to being #LeftHanded, and i don't juggle anywhere near as well as i used to.

It’s a two show weekend! Had a tough dress rehearsal last night but made it thru. Here are a few shots. So excited to see FOUR of my amazing students perform tonight and get to perform with them! #circus

Getting my roll ups back! Straps is a wonderful apparatus to compliment rope for conditioning and technique. Here’s my coach spotting me thru a single roll up. This particular trick has always stressed me out due to how painful it is on the arms, but I’m excited to be getting it back in my body! #circus

LOOK! AT! MY! SON!! My tiny boy!! Just a lil guy!! For my first time tattooing on skin, that's not too bad I'd say!

[Edit: I tattooed myself on my ankle, just as a step before I start tattooing other people. I am a junior tattoo artist!]

First time doing this balance without a spot! (I normally do rope, doing straps for cross training only, so this is very exciting!) I love and am so grateful that my body can still keep learning and getting stronger. #circus

For the past few years I’ve been focusing almost exclusively on rope for my aerial training/teaching etc. Today I got back on silks, which felt so fun. I forgot how just a subtle change of constraints can open the mind to a whole new suite of creativity! #circus

These days I'm an #EngineeringManager in the #DataEngineering world. I have a background in #dataops, #devops, and #SRE. I've also worked in #politicaltech / #politics for the past 7 years.
