I mean it's also a system that allows anyone who gives value to society to succeed which empowers innovation, resilience and progress which pushes systems to improve for better health and better everything
(I'm not much of a capitalist, just very much not an anti-capitalist)
@thisisskaly
How does capitalism allow anyone who gives value to succeed?
@thisisskaly @Radical_EgoCom the counter to that is that for every one person or business that is "successful" there are many others that are squashed out of existence by competitors. All of those "failures" would also have added value to society. It's a rigged game because the ones who succeed usually have an unfair advantage. For example Bezos, Musk, and Trump all had the advantage of rich parents to get started. This allowed them to crush early competitors out of the race.
If you give value you get money, this is how work and selling works. I don't always think it works most efficiently, but it definitely works far more efficiently than any other system. In my country healthcare is half socialist half capitalist, so the different healthcare providers are in competition which makes them always improve, at the same time the basic health needs are free (it's Israel, healthcare to everyone is available at high quality for free and very fast).
