Public transport reliability is like so many other statistical & reputational things in life: the bus home can be (mostly) on time for years, but that one time that two buses were cancelled leaving me wondering exactly how I was going to get home & now I'm super anxious months later.
@rekiwi This sort of thing is probably why my partner insists on having a car with him at all times. :(
@mwt Yeah, I try to stay rational: the express bus home enables my preferred & very long one-way bike commute, stuck in traffic but someone else is driving while I doze or post to socials, and the service is really very reliable & affordable. Anxiety is dumb but it still creeps up.
