@terri personally I have not had a very smooth experience with TWSBI and shimmer, but some people say that’s their go-to pen for it so YMMV I guess?
Wing Sung 698 is a $25 pen so it’s relatively low commitment if you want to try it.

@paradoxmo yeah, probably worth a shot just for comparison. I'm definitely in the "buy a new $25 pen every month and see what sticks" part of my journey. Looks like the low end Pelikan Twists are similar in price, but I don't know if the nibs would work?
@terri I do not have experience using the Twist for shimmer so I can’t say definitively. (The Pelikans I’m referring to as good for shimmer are the piston fillers like the M200.) But whether a pen works for shimmer is mostly about the feed and filling mechanism, and less about the pointy bit. I use F and EFs on the Pelikans and Senators with zero issues.
@paradoxmo i had assumed it was the combo of all those parts, but it makes sense that the pointy bit is probably the least important there!
