Alpenglow on the Sierra Crest from the Alabama Hills. Hundreds of movies have been filmed over the years in the Alabama Hills. And just about every B-western from the 1950s was filmed there.

There is a large pile of ricks on the left side of the frame and a smaller one on the right. The photographer is standing on a rock that is conical shaped and pointing toward the Sierra crest in the distance. There are a few green plants and small white flowers in the dirt in the foreground. There are more of the rock piles in a valley in the middle ground. There is also short green plants that make it look like grass in the valley. Then there's a very large hill of the same rubble. Beyond that is the Sierra crest. There is quite a lot of snow along to crest. The sky is a light blue with the coming light of the morning.
