It actually makes perfect sense when you operate from the premise of the mailablity of antisemitism.

The throughline is, no matter what, the real cause of whatever any society believes is its greatest ill at any particular time is “the Jew.” It’s the Schrödinger nature of anti-Judaism. The real culprit is “the Jew.”

For the Christian, the Jew is the deicider. The communist, the Jew is the greedy capitalist who worships money. The capitalist, the Jew is the communist. The Arab, the Jew is the white colonizer. The European, the Jew is the Oriental/Levantine race polluter and well poisoner. And in the world of the nation-state, Israel is “the Jew” among nations, the bloodthirsty, genocidal, pariah that can do nothing right other than lay down and die.

So this makes sense, because in the mind of the Jew hater, “the Jew” is always responsible for whatever makes them angry. For them, “the Jew” is behind it all.
