Superchunk - Majesty Shredding
Gaps either end up draining the band (XTC, alas - don't even try arguing that Apple Venus & Wasp Star were worthy of their legacy) or reinvigorating them - as was the case here. The 9 years let them generate a bunch of solid, fun, tuneful songs…which they pound out with enthusiasm.
Plus, hey, a tube on the cover played through a tube phono preamp seemed...appropriate.
