actual answer: C++. it takes Actual Skill to use it well, skill that took me many years to develop, and there are probably better uses of that learning effort now, but now I already have that skill so I may as well use it instead of arguing with rustc

@emily @Seirdy I'd also add that modern C++ has most of Rust's affordances (Rust copied them, after all). So when you know it, there is also little practical gain in switching.

It's different when you know neither.
