#SafeguardingResearch started with me (@lavaeolus) cloning GitHub-repos of 'Mapping the Gay Guides' (with their consent) on January 15th.
After that, I asked my buddy @micr0 to write a scraper for academia.edu, inspired by @bookandswordblog, to download as many things mentioning #transgender #nonbinary #intersex #queer etc. as possible.

The rest is history.
