Here was the response I received from Sen. Katie Britt about RFKJr. The Dear Leader's wishes will be satisfied!
Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding President Trump’s cabinet nominees. I am always grateful to hear from Alabamians on this critical issue.
As part of the presidential transition process, the President-elect has the right and responsibility to nominate individuals to serve in the Cabinet of the United States once the new presidential administration assumes office. Every nominee put forward by the President-elect deserves the opportunity to demonstrate their fitness and qualifications for the position to which they’ve been nominated.
Under Article II Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, it is the responsibility of the Senate to consider each nominee carefully. I take this constitutional obligation seriously, and I look forward to reviewing each nominee as part of the Senate confirmation process.
It is imperative to act expeditiously to confirm President Trump’s Cabinet so that he can fulfill the mandate given to him and Congressional Republicans by the American people. I am eager to work with President Trump to deliver results for American families and get our nation back on track through secure borders, stable prices, safe streets, and a strong national defense.
Thank you again for taking the time to contact me regarding these important nominations and for sharing your perspective. I am always grateful to hear from Alabamians like you.
Sincerely,
Katie Boyd Britt
